Course Overview
This course is build to enable learners to continue understanding the concept of classifier handshapes and the uses of grammatical structures and to use these language features through activities.
Goal
Improve conversational skill in Auslan.
Resources
Student handouts will be provided to students through access to Dropbox.

Course fee: $162

Certificate will be provided at the end of the course
Where to meet
Auslan Skills Level 6 class held at Klemzig Primary School
When to meet
Upcoming course starts on 2nd February and ends on 2nd March 2023.
2 hours a week for 5 weeks
6 pm until 8 pm

- Talk on Deaf Culture (2 hours)
- Discussion on Auslan grammatical structures
- Conversation practice
Skills and Strategies
- Fingerspelling receptive skills
Elements of Language
Grammar and Gesture
- Analysis of his actions associated with handshape classifiers and constructed actions
- Understanding of visual grammar
Vocabulary and Sign structure
- Fingerspelling receptive language
- Vocabulary relating to random topics for conversation practice
